Payment Policy

This Payment Policy outlines how clients are billed for consulting and advisory services provided by Guiding Light Strategies, LLC to ensure transparency, alignment, and consistency across all engagements. Payment details will be included on each invoice.

Billing Structures

Hourly Engagements

  • Hourly engagements are billed at the agreed-upon rate stated in the signed contract or engagement letter.

  • Clients are invoiced either biweekly or monthly, depending on the nature of the engagement.

  • Invoices reflect actual hours worked, including preparation, analysis, communication, facilitation, and other related services.

  • Payment is due within 14 days of invoice date unless otherwise stated.

 

Project-Based Engagements

  • Project fees are split into installments depending on project size and complexity.

  • First installment is due at contract signing and must be received before work begins.

  • Remaining installments are tied to specific milestones, phases, or deliverables defined in the scope of work.

  • Each invoice is due within 14 days of issuance.

 

Accepted Payment Methods:

  • ACH / bank transfer

  • Credit or debit card

  • Online payment via invoicing system

  • Checks (for U.S.-based clients only)

 

Non-Refundable Payments

  • All payments for hours already worked and all milestone-based tranches are non-refundable, as services are customized, collaborative, and delivered throughout the engagement.

Changes to Scope or Budget

  • If the client requests additional work, expanded scope, or new deliverables, Guiding Light Strategies will issue an amended scope of work or additional estimate for approval.

  • No out-of-scope work will be performed without written confirmation from the client.

Late Payment

  • Payments not received within 14 days may incur a late fee of 1.5% per month or the maximum permitted by state law.

  • Continued late or non-payment may result in suspension of work until the account is brought current.
