Refund Policy

At Guiding Light Strategies, LLC our work is built on a collaborative, co-created process. We partner closely with each client to define goals, scope, expected deliverables, and working methods before any engagement begins. Because the value of our services is delivered throughout the engagement, all fees are considered earned as work is performed.

General Policy

Guiding Light Strategies, LLC does not offer refunds for services rendered or payments already received. Prior to beginning any work, clients receive a clear summary of the engagement, including scope, roles, responsibilities, timelines, and expected outputs, and agree to this framework in writing. This ensures alignment before work starts and supports a transparent, mutually accountable collaboration.

Hourly Engagements

For hourly-rate engagements:

  • Clients are billed for time spent providing consulting, facilitation, analysis, planning, or other professional services.

  • Because work is delivered continuously throughout the engagement, all invoiced hours are non-refundable.

  • If a client chooses to pause or end the engagement early, they are responsible only for payment of hours already delivered up to the notification date.

Project-Based Engagements

For project-based deliverables:

  • Fees are typically divided into installments, depending on the project’s size and complexity.

  • The first installment is due upon contract signing and must be paid before work begins.

  • Subsequent tranches are due upon completion of agreed-upon milestones or phases.

  • All tranche payments are non-refundable, as each phase involves significant collaboration, planning, customization, and client-specific deliverables that cannot be reclaimed or repurposed.

Client Satisfaction

Guiding Light Strategies, LLC is committed to high-quality, relationship-centered work. While refunds are not provided, clients are encouraged to communicate openly if concerns arise at any point. We will make every reasonable effort to address issues, clarify expectations, or adjust the approach to ensure the engagement remains productive and valuable.

Exceptions

In rare circumstances, such as billing errors or mutually agreed-upon adjustments documented in writing, partial credits or adjustments may be issued. These situations are evaluated on a case-by-case basis and at the sole discretion of Guiding Light Strategies, LLC.
